Our most recent club night saw Jason Kinrade visit to demonstrate a studio portrait shoot and show us some of his previous work in both digital and printed format.
We were put in touch with Jason by one of our members and he had never done a presentation like this before, although you would never have guessed that from his relaxed demeanour. We were also joined by volunteer model Ian Galloway, who brought a fine selection of hats for variety.
It was an informative and engaging evening as we heard Jason’s thought process and advice, watched how he interacted with Ian, and saw how he modified the light on Ian’s face by changing the positions of his single light and reflectors.
Questions were answered throughout an interesting and often amusing session, and Jason will be returning soon to show us how he would process the images.
