The way members pay their subscriptions will change next season.
At last month’s AGM, the Minutes of last year’s AGM and the season’s accounts were accepted and approved, and the committee was re-elected en bloc to serve for another year.
The annual discussion to set subscription fees for the new season resulted in a decision to change the method of collecting subs. The initial annual fee will increase for the first time since 2016 but the nightly £2 subs will now be rolled into the annual fee. This means that an adult membership will cost £50 with no further payment required at meetings, meaning a reduction in overall cost for those who attend regularly.
The one-off subscription payment of £50 not only eases administration and banking, but members who attend over 12 of the 18+ scheduled meetings will pay less overall compared to previous seasons. And you won’t need to remember to pay £2 on the night and fiddle around with change.
Overseas and junior members will pay £25, and the per-meeting fee for non-members/visitors is increased from £2 to £3.

The early dates in the season are on the club website Calendar page and will be completed soon and the printed calendar card will be available on the 11th.
The new season starts on 11th September with the introductory evening and Mike Goldie Trophy; this year’s theme is “Manx Glens”, followed by a practical evening on 25th September. Our first two guest speakers are Mike Radcliffe on 9th October and Dave Salter on 6th November, and the first competition is on 23rd October, when the theme is “Animals” (entries to be submitted by Sunday 13th)
