Numbers Letters Results

Print first place: ‘Freedom Y Not’ by Steve Johnstone

Members donned their thinking caps for the February competition “Numbers/Letters” and a range of ideas and subjects were on show when Patricia Tutt LRPS presented the results on Wednesday.

Patricia said she had been looking forward to seeing our creative ideas and she enjoyed the different approaches and styles of the entries.  She gave concise feedback and advice, and suggested further information on output sharpening.

Digital joint first place: ‘Two’ by Brian Goldie

The scores ranged from 19 to 14 in the print section and 20 to 14 in Digital, and the results were as follows:

1st place: ‘Freedom Y Not’ by Steve Johnstone – 19 points
2nd place: ‘Cafe’ by Andrea Thrussell – 18 points
3rd place: ‘Inches’ by Andrea Thrussell – 18 points

Print runner-up: ‘Cafe’ by Andrea Thrussell
Print third place: ‘Inches’ by Andrea Thrussell

Digital:
Joint 1st place: ‘Two’ by Brian Goldie – 20 points
Joint 1st place: ‘Colourful Language’ by Brian Goldie – 20 points
3rd place: ‘Numbers and Letters’ by Andrea Thrussell – 19 points

All entries will be added to the Gallery section of the website in the next few days, and the running points totals will be updated too.

Our next meeting on Wednesday 15th February is the annual “Battle” with the Western Photographic Society when IOMPS President Tony Curtis will assess 30 entries from each society.
