Our programme runs from September to May and we meet on alternate Wednesday evenings, with outings and activities during the summer.
Bring your camera for this practical workshop session – theme to be decided.
The ideal opportunity to try something new, mingle and swap ideas and advice.
‘The Tigers of Ranthambore’ – a presentation by guest Sue Blythe
A presentation of images by guest James Brew
Visiting speaker Patricia Tutt of the Western Photographic Society will talk about the process of judging photographic competitions and share a collection of her own images on various topics.
A sociable evening with a twin purpose :
The ‘Digital Art‘ competition is a chance to showcase your ‘arty’ or quirky ideas and creativity with processing and effects, followed by explanations and demonstrations of how some of the images were created (this is entirely voluntary but always appreciated). You may enter up to five images.
Then we will view everyone’s latest digital images from around the island for the annual calendar project. Remember we need ‘Manx Scenes‘ of all seasons and from all locations, not just the south of the island!
Images should be emailed to the usual address no later than Saturday evening, 13th March. Please send Digital Art entries and calendar images on separate emails to avoid confusion and title your emails accordingly (‘Digital Art’ or ‘Manx Scenes’).
