We have been making up for the delayed start to summer activities with another photo walk and a coastal cruise in the last week.
Last Wednesday a group of members met for an informal photo walk in Port Erin, exploring the beach and harbour to hunt down as many different subjects as possible beginning with ‘P’.

We found everything from pots to plimsoles to puddles and pizza, with a Peter thrown in for good measure, too. The mist added a different dimension to the scenery, and after a quick drink in The Bay we dashed outside to enjoy an eye-catching but short-lived sunset.

Then on Sunday the weather was perfect for our much-anticipated coastal cruise along the southern coastline and around the Calf of Man on board ‘Gemini’. The scenery was never short of dramatic and our skipper Bob paused regularly to allow us to photograph various landmarks and the wildlife.

Among the many different types of birds we were fortunate to see a Peregrine and a Great Skua, while a group of Porpoises checked us out from a safe distance and seals came for a much closer look.
