The 2026 Annual General Meeting was held on 13th May.
The Minutes of last year’s AGM and the season’s accounts were accepted and approved. It was agreed to maintain the annual subscription at £50, but ideally we need to add some members next season to maintain that level. Guest/visitor fees will remain at £3.
Subscriptions will be due at our first meeting on 9th September, and please remember that card payment is strongly preferred to cash.
Barry Hennedy stood down from the committee. We thank him for his four years as Treasurer, especially his work on the accounts following the sudden death of former treasurer Andy Kennaugh, and setting up electronic payments. The committee will elect a new treasurer at the next committee meeting.
The rest of the committee members (Sue Clegg, Andrea Thrussell, Georgina Shaw, Lynn Ryan, Peter Skears and Steve Johnstone) were re-elected.
The members’ vote to select themes for season 2027/28 saw the following three selected:
“Street/People”
“After the Rain”
“Silhouette”
The meeting ended with useful suggestions and requests, and it was great to have everyone involved in shaping the new season.
It was decided to continue with the fun challenges next season, and we will celebrate the club’s 55th anniversary year with an exhibition of prints in December and a presentation dinner next May.
Finally for now, a reminder of the set competition themes for the upcoming season:
September: Mike Goldie Trophy: “Windows and/or Doors”
October: “Back Alleys”
January: “Reflections”
March: “Sport”
Looking forward to seeing everyone on 9th September, and hopefully before then for a walk or outing.
