An Architect’s Eye and More

Our April Club Night continued the theme of inviting a guest speaker to widen our understanding and appreciation of our hobby, with Dr Patricia Tutt ARPS making a welcome return to the club.

Patricia has presented and judged for us on several occasions and this was another interesting and often entertaining evening.

With varied photographic interests, Pat’s presentation included several themed segments.  Beginning with architecture of the UK, we also enjoyed a selection of landscapes, studies of stained glass windows, flowers, garden birds, still life and abstract images, some of which were presented as diptychs and triptychs.

Not only did she share a wide variety of high-quality work, styles and personal projects, but it was notable that some of our most Photoshop-savvy members were enthralled at some of the techniques she demonstrated.

Pat concluded with themed presentations covering the arboretum and intentional camera movement (ICM), the restoration of a property in Patrick, trees in various locations dating back to Malawi in the 1980s, “Colours of Streams and Shore” and “An Architect’s Eye”.

As you can see, there was something for everyone and we thank Pat for an enjoyable and inspirational evening.
