James Brew was our judge for the final regular competition of this shortened season, with just the Image of the Year remaining.
James has visited us before to give presentations but this was the first time he had judged a competition for anyone. As noted by several people afterwards, you would not have known it from his assessment of our images.
There was the usual wide range of styles and subjects for an open competition and James gave thorough feedback, often offering advice about alternative composition or framing and sometimes admitting to ‘nit-picking’ the smaller details.
The results were as follows:
1st: ‘Teamwork’ by Andrea Thrussell – 18 points
2nd: ‘Peacock’ by Georgina Shaw – 18 points
3rd: ‘Into the Fire’ by Sue Clegg – 17 points
1st: ‘Power of the Sea’ by John Keelan – 18 points
2nd: ‘Going Underground’ by Andrea Thrussell – 17 points
3rd: ‘Feeding Time’ by Gwen Tuck – 17 points
Congratulations to everyone and please remember that the deadline for Image of the Year entries is on Sunday 16th, with the results on Wednesday 26th May.
