Members and guests attended the Southern Photographic Society presentation dinner on Wednesday, 4th May.
The Pavillion in Port St Mary was a pleasant and relaxed venue for the event and 24 members and guests enjoyed the atmosphere and food, especially the generous portions of apple crumble!
President Brian Goldie noted that it was the first time in three seasons that we were able to hold a full programme of events and mentioned the success and progress of the newer members. Brian also acknowledged the loss in February of treasurer and longest-serving member Andy Kennaugh and presented outgoing committee member Jim Gibson with a gift of appreciation for his five years on the committee.
This was followed by the annual awards for achievements, and the trophies – freshly sparkling thanks to Georgina – were presented by Julie Goldie. This year’s winners are as follows:
