Our next club night is this Wednesday, 13th November, when well-known local commercial, portrait and wedding photographer Andrew Barton will be explaining and demonstrating the use of flash with the help of volunteer model Imy.
Although this is mainly a instructional evening aimed at beginners and intermediate users, and not a workshop, depending on numbers there may be time so bring your camera and a flashgun if you have one.
3-Way Battle – 22nd November
Wednesday is also the final opportunity to reserve and pay for hot food at the 3-Way Battle, so if you have not already done so please see Sue about that. The food is by Niarbyl Catering and the choices are:
Hotpot with crusty bread and butter and red cabbage
Chicken curry with rice, poppadoms and mango chutney
Vegetable lasagne with baked potato.
Cost is £10 per head with food or £3 per head for admission only.
Doors will open at 7pm and we envisage beginning to serve food by 7.15pm with judging underway by 8pm. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be available to everyone during the break and we aim to finish by 10pm or soon afterwards.
This is the first time we have hosted the inter-club competition for many years so we hope everyone will come along to support the evening and enjoy the best images from each of the three societies.
Next club competition
Finally, there is a deadline this Sunday, 17th November, for the ‘Open’ competition taking place on Wednesday 27th November. The judge will be Eddie Fryer and please ensure your prints and digital files are with Sue by 6pm.
