On Wednesday 23rd September we held a practical club night with a tabletop session set up by Georgina, followed by a visit from Ron Strathdee to show us how he post-processes his images of the night sky and Milky Way.
A selection of images from the first part of the evening can be seen on this page showing people working on the different tables, and a few of their results. Many thanks again to Georgina for researching and setting up the different scenarios.
Ron Strathdee joined us to process an image from our outing to the Sound last week, showing his workflow from the RAW file to the final image, and then shared some of his recent images of Comet Neowise and the Milky Way over various local settings. We look forward to another outing with Ron when the opportunity arises.
A final reminder that the deadline for members to submit entries to the first competition of the season (“Barriers”) is this Sunday at 6pm. Instructions for sizing, naming and submitting images are on the Competitions Rules page of the website.
Please remember to email digital versions of your print entries too, on a separate email from digital entries and clearly marked PRINT ENTRIES.
It was great to welcome more new faces on Wednesday and we hope you will join us again on 7th October when David Silvester will be sharing his thoughts on the ‘Barriers’ entries and announcing the results.
