The opening of the 50th Anniversary Exhibition on Monday, 2nd August, was a great success at the Erin Arts Centre, Port Erin.
Members (past and present) were joined by guests, one of the founder members and representatives of local associations and the other photographic societies.
Lots of planning and hard work came to fruition with the framed prints of our members’ images hanging on the walls, and we are very grateful to the IOM Arts Council for their support in putting the exhibition together.
When the exhibition closes, the framed prints will be used to update our permanent display at Noble’s Hospital, where we know they bring a lot of pleasure to patients, visitors and staff. A share of any sale goes to the Patients’ Comfort Trust.
We hope fellow photographers and anyone interested in photography will visit the exhibition at the Erin Arts Centre, Victoria Square, Port Erin, Isle of Man between now and 26th September. Entry is free and the venue is open Tuesday-Friday, 10am-4,30pm and whenever there are evening events and performances.
Our new season is due to begin on Wednesday 8th September. Everyone is welcome and further details will be confirmed soon.
