April Open print winner: "Educating Junior" by James Joyce
Print winner “Educating Junior” by James Joyce

This season seems to have flown by, and Wednesday 10th April was the final point-scoring competition.

Chris Blyth made a welcome return and judged with the experience of someone who has enjoyed photography for over 65 years and a long-standing member of the IOMPS and now the WPS.

With only 12 prints in the first section, Chris urged everyone to print their images as the “ultimate destination” for our work, and he repeated that encouragement at the end of the evening.  He gave each entry thorough scrutiny and offered advice, encouragement and constructive criticism where appropriate.

Congratulations to James, whose charming print of a peahen and chick he described as “a winner at first glance” and praised the “phenomenal detail”.
